Certificate Programs
: Interdisciplinary Interaction & Specialization-Focused Education
Our Certificate Programs are one of the key innovations of the “YTÜ-FEF Basic Sciences Education Model,” which was developed within our Faculty and implemented in the Fall semester of the 2024–2025 academic year across all our departments offering instruction in both Turkish and English.
The Certificate Programs we offer to students in all departments where the Model is implemented have been structured by organizing the Professional Elective Courses included in our departments’ updated curricula according to specific areas of scientific specialization.
Participation in the Certificate Programs—which are optional—is based on the principle that students select Professional Elective courses within their departments to gain scientific expertise in a specific field.
Within the framework of this initiative, our students are given the opportunity to participate not only in the certificate programs offered by their own departments but also in those offered by other departments within our Faculty, thereby fostering interdisciplinary interaction and specialization.

*Pursuant to Faculty Council Decision No. 2024/4 dated November 28, 2024, students in the Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics, and Statistics may earn at least one of the 19 certificates defined within the Faculty.
