(2) The dates for thesis submission, thesis defense exams, and poster presentations for each semester are announced on the department websites.

(3) During the final week of the relevant semester, the thesis (named “Student First Name_Last Name_thesis.pdf”), a poster prepared in accordance with the Thesis Poster Template (named “Student First Name_Last Name_poster.pdf”), and a Turnitin report (the similarity index in the Turnitin report must not exceed 30%) (named “Student First Name_Last Name_Turnitin Report.pdf”) must be submitted by the student to the academic advisor.

(4) In accordance with the YTÜ Undergraduate Thesis Guidelines (DD-022), the Department Chairs shall form an examination committee consisting of a total of three (3) members, one of whom is the advisor supervising the thesis. This committee conducts an oral examination of the student regarding both the thesis and the scientific field of the thesis.

(5) Students who pass the oral examination present their posters each semester under the coordination of the Dean’s Office.

(6) Students who do not participate in the poster presentation are graded FF, and no excuse is accepted.

(7) The faculty advisor fills out the “Thesis Evaluation Form” and “Committee Report” for the completed thesis in at least three (3) copies and submits the final versions of the relevant files  (Student First Name_Last Name_thesis.pdf, Student First Name_Last Name_poster.pdf, and Student First Name_Last Name_Turnitin report.pdf) to the department chair.
