Graduates' Professional Profile

Recognizing that mathematics is the key to science and that the Department of Mathematics provides the models and frameworks necessary to conduct research and studies that will add value to life in the basic sciences—such as physics, chemistry, and biology—as well as in the health sciences, engineering applications, and the economic, social and humanities—to conduct research and studies that add value to life—are raised with this awareness. Graduates of the Department of Mathematics possess a strong body of knowledge in mathematics; have well-developed abstract thinking skills; have acquired high proficiency in solving complex problems; a strong academic foundation in various fields such as advanced theoretical mathematics, applied mathematical modeling, algorithm development, and data analysis; and the ability to integrate mathematical thinking with other scientific disciplines and engineering applications, making them well-equipped for employment in various sectors. 

Graduates can pursue academic careers by continuing their education in master’s and doctoral programs in mathematics or other fields; they can also participate in scientific projects conducted at universities and research centers.

Graduates of the Department of Physics possess a solid foundation in physics theories at the undergraduate level; are capable of analysis and synthesis; have acquired sufficient skills in experimental design and numerical modeling; and have a strong academic foundation in fields such as quantum physics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, statistical physics, nuclear physics, condensed matter physics, high-energy physics, and theoretical physics. 

Graduates, who are capable of integrating the physical concepts they have learned into disciplines such as engineering, medicine, energy, materials science, and quantum computing, possess well-developed scientific thinking skills and inquisitive, and solution-oriented individuals, and can take on roles in various public and private sector institutions.

Our graduates can pursue academic careers by continuing their education in master’s and doctoral programs in physics or other fields; they can take on active roles in projects conducted at universities, research centers, R&D laboratories, or through international scientific collaborations.

graduates who have completed the “Theoretical Physics Certificate Program” can engage in advanced theoretical research in areas such as quantum field theory, general relativity, particle physics, and cosmology at universities, institutes, and national/international advanced research centers,

Graduates of the Department of Chemistry (30% in English) possess in-depth knowledge of chemistry, laboratory skills, and the ability to think analytically and solve problems; they have a broad and versatile academic foundation in various fields—such as new product development, quality improvement, formulation, control of manufacturing processes in factories, chemical analysis, and waste analysis; they are equipped to integrate this knowledge with other scientific disciplines and engineering applications, and are well-suited for employment across various sectors—making them the individuals most in demand in an industrialized country.

graduates who have completed the “Certificate Program in Quality Education in Chemistry” can work in quality control units within the chemical industry,

Graduates who have completed the “Pharmaceutical Products Certificate Program” can work in the pharmaceutical industry in areas such as the cultivation, composition, and analysis of medicinal plants, as well as the design, synthesis, quantification, and analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients, and in educational and R&D institutions and organizations,

Graduates who have completed the “Biochemical Technologies Certificate Program” can work in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, biochemistry and molecular biology laboratories, the food and fermentation industries, as well as fields related to the environment, agriculture, veterinary medicine, and medicine, and in educational and R&D institutions and organizations;

Graduates who have completed the “Polymer Technology Certificate Program” can work in the plastics, automotive, packaging, electronics, and textile industries, as well as in educational and R&D institutions and organizations,

Graduates who have completed the “Food Chemistry Certificate Program” can work in food analysis laboratories, food production facilities, government agencies, import-export companies, and educational and R&D institutions and organizations;

Graduates who have completed the “Environmental Chemistry Certificate Program” can work at environmental consulting firms, industrial organizations, environmental laboratories, municipalities, and public institutions, as well as educational and R&D institutions and organizations.

Graduates of the Chemistry Department (100% English) program, who have received their chemistry education entirely in English, possess in-depth knowledge of chemistry, laboratory skills, and the ability to think analytically and solve problems; they have a broad and versatile academic foundation that can be integrated with other scientific fields and engineering applications, enabling them to work in various areas such as new product development, quality improvement, formulation, control of manufacturing processes in factories, chemical analysis, and waste analysis; they are equipped to integrate their knowledge with other scientific fields and engineering applications, and are well-suited for employment in various sectors—making them the individuals most in demand in an industrialized country.
  

Graduates of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics possess a body of knowledge in the field of molecular biology and genetics; are able to evaluate biological systems from a multilayered and holistic perspective; have acquired the ability to develop creative and analytical solutions to problems; adapt to rapidly changing scientific and technological developments, and are open to interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaborations—solution-oriented professionals with a strong research culture who are well-equipped to pursue careers in various sectors.

After completing their undergraduate education, graduates can pursue master’s and doctoral programs in fields such as molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology, and medical biology to advance their academic careers; or they can take on roles in R&D activities at institutions such as universities, research institutes, hospitals, genetic diagnostic centers, and biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.


In addition to the high-quality specialized education they have received;

graduates who have completed the “Biotechnology Certificate Program” can work in product development, production, and quality control departments in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries; in the fields of bioprocess engineering and industrial biotechnology, as well as in R&D institutions and organizations working with biosensor technologies;

Graduates who have completed the “Certificate Program in Genetics, Genomics, and Developmental Biology” can work at universities and public research institutes, genetic diagnostic centers, and public and private sector education and R&D institutions;  

Graduates who have completed the “Certificate Program in Medical Biology and Genetics” may work at genetic diagnostic centers, hospitals, molecular testing laboratories, clinical research organizations, and institutions developing pharmacogenetics-based drugs;

Graduates who have completed the “Data Science Certificate Program” or the “Statistics in Health Sciences Certificate Program” may work in institutions and organizations—including those in environmental and health services—that require biological data analysis.

Graduates of the Department of Statistics possess in-depth knowledge in areas such as probability theory, parametric and nonparametric statistical methods, multivariate analysis, experimental design, regression techniques, and data mining. Graduates have acquired advanced skills in data collection, organization, analysis, interpretation, and modeling; they are individuals capable of selecting appropriate methods for different types of data and evaluating results within scientific and societal contexts. In this regard, graduates are equipped with the competence to contribute to data-driven decision-making processes in many fields, including health, social sciences, economics, finance, engineering, biology, education, public administration, and technology.

Graduates of the Department of Statistics can also pursue academic careers by continuing their education in master’s and doctoral programs in statistics or related fields; they can take on active roles in projects conducted by universities, research institutes, and national and international organizations.

In addition to the high-quality field-specific education they have received,

graduates who have completed the “Data Science Certificate Program” can work in technology companies, the financial sector, retail and e-commerce, healthcare, manufacturing and logistics, public services, data analysis departments of organizations, corporate IT departments, education, and R-Ge institutions and organizations,

Graduates who have completed the “Theoretical Statistics Certificate Program” can work in public institutions, private sector companies, and educational and R&D institutions and organizations in the fields of data analysis, research, and modeling.

 

Graduates of the French Translation and Interpreting Bachelor’s Program are able to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application in the field of translation studies; possess advanced skills in linguistic and cultural analysis and interpretation; are competent in both written and oral translation; and are individuals with well-developed skills in taking responsible action to promote sustainability, accessibility, inclusivity, and well-being, as well as in critical thinking, entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and ethical decision-making. 

Our graduates, who are mindful of professional ethics, act with social, cultural, and environmental sensitivity; possess the ability to collaborate and interact with different disciplines; respond to the current needs of the language services sector and adapt to future professional innovations; and are well-equipped communication specialists capable of proficiently using AI-assisted translation and related language technologies in multiple languages. 

Our educational program, structured around an interdisciplinary approach, provides our graduates with a wide range of career opportunities on both national and international platforms, in both the public sector and the private sector. 

Our graduates possess the qualifications to be employed across a broad spectrum of fields, including the language industry, media, publishing, diplomacy, government ministries, multinational corporations operating in various sectors, banks, and educational institutions. 

Our graduates can also pursue academic careers by continuing their graduate studies in fields such as translation studies, linguistics, communication, and cultural studies; they can serve as researchers, instructors, or experts at universities, research centers, and in international projects.

Graduates of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature possess a versatile and in-depth body of knowledge in the field of Turkish Language and Literature, as well as the ability to use the Turkish language correctly and effectively—both in writing and speech—at an academic level; have acquired the ability to understand, analyze, and interpret various literary texts in detail; have gained the competence to conduct research and present the information they have acquired in accordance with scientific standards, as well as the ability to think critically and solve problems; who, through their basic and applied research, generate practical solutions to current issues related to both the Turkish language and literary history within the fields of Turkish Language and Literature; They are individuals who ensure the preservation of the Turkish language and literature and their accurate transmission to future generations, and who possess the ability to intervene in academic issues appropriately and in a timely manner, thereby gaining the qualifications necessary for employment in various sectors.

Graduates can pursue academic careers by continuing their education in master’s and doctoral programs in Turkish Language and Literature; they can also participate in scientific projects conducted at universities and research centers. Graduates may also work as Turkish Language and Literature teachers in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, as well as in private schools and course centers.

In addition to the high-quality field-specific education they have received,

graduates who have completed the “Certificate Program in Reading Archival Documents” can work in archives and libraries housing Ottoman archival documents,

Graduates who have completed theEditing and In-House Translation Certificate Program” and theContemporary Turkish Languages Certificate Program” can work in publishing houses, newspapers, and magazines, as well as in institutions that require translation activities related to Turkish languages;

Graduates who have completed the “Turkish Theater Certificate Program” and theStorytelling Certificate Program” can work at advertising agencies, media organizations, creative writing workshops, and public institutions such as TRT and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
